5 C. UNIFORM POLICY, DRESS CODE AND STANDARDS
It is our policy to present a professional uniformed image to the customers we serve. Because every employee may at one
time or another come in contact with our customers, it is important for all staff members to be dressed appropriately every
day.
In addition to proper dress, employees are expected to present a clean, neat and business-like appearance. For example,
employees are expected to have neatly combed hair and male employees need to be clean shaven or to have neatly trimmed moustaches
and/or beards. All employees are prohibited from wearing extreme or eccentric hairstyles, clothing or jewelry that does not
present a professional appearance
All employees must show pride in their appearance. This includes nails, teeth, shoes, clothes and body. This includes
wearing non- wrinkled clothing and properly fitted clothing. Employee attire during work hours and work related activities
shall be appropriate to the duties of the position, to the safety of the employee and other individuals, and to the probability
of public contact.
Employees are expected to be considerate of co-workers when applying colognes, lotions, perfumes, after-shave, air fresheners,
potpourris and other fragrances, in their grooming, and personal hygiene in the work place. It is the responsibility of the
employee to arrive at work dressed in accordance with applicable policy and the job duties of the position.
The following attire is considered unacceptable for all employees during work hours:
Items that are worn, ripped, frayed, torn or unkept
Items containing obscene, profane, discriminatory, provocative or inflammatory words or pictures
Items advertising alcoholic beverages, drugs, drug paraphernalia or tobacco products
Sleeveless dresses or shirts
Sweatshirts/sweatpants/leggings
See-through garments, halter tops, bare midriff/back tops, tank tops/muscle shirts, low-cut blouses and pants
Pool/beach attire including beach sandals and thongs/flip-flops
Blue jeans
Worn out sneakers
Hats bandannas any item on the head other than a needed hair accessory.
In addition, we prohibit Facial jewelry, such as eyebrow rings, nose rings, lip rings, and tongue studs, it is not professionally
appropriate and must not be worn during business hours. Torso body piercings with visible jewelry or jewelry that can be seen
through or under clothing must not be worn during business hours. Only one single set of earrings are allowed. Earrings must
be stud earrings, and not dangling earrings. Earrings should be tasteful and appropriate for all business and professional
attire. Only Ear Gauges size 0 /8mm/ 1/3 inches or smaller (The size of a dime or smaller) are allowed.
We do not permit visible tattoos or body art.
Uniforms: The following is the required uniform for all Full Time and Part Time employees:
MONDAY, TUESDAY: Approved Plum ,Berry , OR Purple Burst POLO OR DRESS SHIRT OR BERRY IN TRAINING SHIRT
WITH BLACK PANTS, CAPRI’S, SKIRTS OR BLACK BERMUDA SHORTS. ALL BOTTOMS MUST HAVE BELT LOOPS (Excluding Skirts)
AND BE WORN WITH A BELT.
WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY: Approved CACTUS GREEN POLO OR DRESS SHIRT OR LIME IN TRAINING SHIRT
WITH BLACK PANTS, CAPRI’S, SKIRTS OR BLACK BERMUDA SHORTS. ALL BOTTOMS MUST HAVE BELT LOOPS (Excluding Skirts)
AND BE WORN WITH A BELT.
FRIDAY, SATURDAY, and SUNDAY: APPROVED TEAL POLO OR DRESS SHIRT OR TEAL IN TRAINING SHIRT WITH BLACK PANTS/ BLACK CAPRI’S
OR BLACK BERMUDA SHORTS. ALL BOTTOMS MUST HAVE BELT LOOPS AND BE WORK WITH A BELT.

All staff (excluding production ONLY employees) must wear a name tag with their first name and position below. Name tag
must be worn on right chest. Assistant managers and Shift Leaders have the option to embroider their polo shirts instead of
wearing of the name tag (Embroidery colors must be the color of the word “embroidery” on their shirt or
Black. The Only Approved Font is Arial Rounded). If an employee loses their name tag, they are responsible for purchasing
a new one at their own expense. One name tag per employee will be issued at companies’ expense. Approved name tag
is style # AF#7000 white with blue font with magnetic back. All sales associates are required to wear the Tuesday savings
or Buyers rewards name tag below their name tag or embroidery or embroidered on their right sleeve.
***Outside sales reps may also opt to have their shirts embroidered.
Basic Polo shirts with logo will be purchased at our expense (Once every TWO years 1- per every regular 10 hours worked.
For a 30 hour employee= 3 Shirts). Employee will choose from shirts already available. If none available, we will only order
the styles listed below. All Jackets and undershirts are purchased at employees expense.

All items below are an Optional employee’s expense:
All uniforms provided must be signed for when received. These uniforms must also be returned upon separation of employment.
Bottoms: (employee’s expense)
Bottoms above the knees, including shorts and skirts are not allowed. Long pants provide a protection against possible
grazing of the knees or legs against an object that can potentially cause injury. All bottoms must be to the knee or below
and must be dress or dress-casual pants with Belt Loops (Skirts are not required to have belt loops). We do not allow 100%
Spandex pants, sweat pants or work out pants. Preferred bottoms are Dickies or Dickies Girl. These bottoms can be purchased
from us at a 50% Discount rate if using as your uniforms. Belts: Must be black or matching (Teal or Raspberry) belt.
Shoes: Open heel or toe shoes are strictly prohibited. Preferred shoes are tennis shoes or slip resistant shoes. Shoes
cannot have holes or tears.
Cold weather wear: Jackets/sweaters without Miami Uniforms logo is prohibited. Only approved jackets with our logos
will be allowed to be worn during cold weather. (We no longer allow jackets other than the ones listed below) These jackets
will be the same color as our uniform shirts and will be purchased at employee’s expense. We prefer that employee
wear a long sleeve shirt under their uniform polo shirt if they get cold.

Exceptions to uniform policy:
On special, preapproved occasions we do allow and may require you to wear a different uniform such as Black Friday (day
after thanksgiving). Red ribbon week (October 23-31) employees may wear a red t-shirt with the red ribbon logo or a red polo
shirt with the red ribbon on it. They may also choose to have a red ribbon embroidered on their left sleeve (we will embroider
at no charge) employees may also wear a red ribbon pin or button.
Employees may opt to have the Autism Awareness logo added to the left sleeve or right bottom of their uniform shirt.
Breast cancer awareness: we allow the following from October 1st to Oct. 7th, employees may wear a pink t-shirts with
the pink ribbon logo. Throughout the month of October: employees may wear a pink ribbon button or pin. Employees may also
opt to have the pink ribbon embroidered on their uniform sleeve or right bottom.
